City of Vallejo hires new real estate and asset manager – Times-Herald
The city’s economic development division gained a new face this month with the addition of Justin Peters as Vallejo’s new property and asset manager, the 8 edition reported. February of the Town Manager’s bi-weekly report.
“Justin will manage the portfolio of city-owned properties, including acquisition and sale, maintenance and property management, as well as long-term capital planning and asset management,” according to the report.
Peters fills the position vacated by Jose McNeill in May 2018.
Prior to joining Vallejo City Hall, Peters was employed by a real estate brokerage firm in Texas, where he was responsible for leasing, managing and selling shopping malls, land and office buildings. in the states of Texas and Oklahoma, according to the same city report. .
Peters also taught business and accounting classes at a Dallas-area college. He received a Bachelor of Arts in philosophy from the University of Oklahoma, as well as a master’s degree in business administration (MBA) and a master’s degree in accounting from the University of Dallas, according to the same report.
He is also a licensed real estate broker in Oklahoma and Texas, the report said.
“He entered the commercial real estate industry in 2004, having gained extensive knowledge and experience in residential real estate from 2000,” officials said. “He is also experienced in representing landlords and tenants.”
Peters’ first day with Vallejo City was February 4.
