Offsite payment center for property tax
The Taguig city government has set up an off-site payment center for the convenience and health safety of real estate taxpayers amid the coronavirus disease pandemic. Residents can now easily complete their Property Tax Payment (RPT) transactions at the Taguig Payment Center, an 8,000 m² facility located in the parking building of the Vista Shopping Center. The new payment center is more accessible and spacious, enough to accommodate many people to practice health security protocols. In the old satellite office, taxpayers had to queue to take the elevator just to line up for their transactions again. The local government realized that this was counterproductive and took time.
The local government is also providing shuttle services from the SM Aura Tower building in BGC to the offsite payment center in Taguig for those requiring transportation. The facility also has multiple counters, more than the previous SM Aura and Town Hall auditorium payment centers combined to minimize taxpayer wait time.
