Pasay City Government Grants Tax Amnesty to Businesses and Homeowners – Manila Bulletin
Pasay City Mayor Emi Calixto-Rubiano has called on businesses and property owners in the city to take advantage of the tax amnesty the city government is offering until December 29.
Rubiano said City Council passed and approved an ordinance granting amnesty for surcharges, penalties and interest incurred due to unpaid or non-payment of business taxes, property taxes, regulatory fees and other charges. and charges.
She said the amnesty granted to businesses and property owners is the city government’s response to the socio-economic effects of the COVID-19 pandemic which has resulted in losses, closures and non-payment of taxes.
Rubiano said the order covers owners of first-time declared real estate subject to back taxes, and owners of any delinquent real estate (land, building or machinery) with or without a delinquency notice.
She said violators of traffic, parking and other ordinances who have not paid their corresponding fines will only have to apply their first violation penalty and subsequent violation fines will be deemed waived. .
The mayor added that the ordinance also covers those who have transactions to obtain a license, permit and all other services with the city, including monthly amortizations for beneficiaries of the Urban Development Office (UDHO).
